Why is Teškoto (“The Hard One”), considered a synonym for adance of the type of Lesnoto (“The Easy One”)? Even though it may soundparadoxical, there are certain indicators that point to and can support this claim. Inthis text, we will focus on some of those indicators, such as the ethnochoreologicalcharacteristics of Teškoto and Lesnoto, the structure of the dance pattern, style, andmanner of performance. We will also attempt to draw parallels between the twodances in an effort to clarify the mentioned phenomenon.
